We are back from the trip...and it was wonderful! Everything from start to finish went like clockwork (except a 2-hour train delay coming back to Verona from Bologna) and exceeded expectations. As importantly, I would like to give both of you some feedback about working with Stahl Travel. As I said to my wife, I could not be more pleased and impressed with how good you guys are. The level of service, the attention to detail, the patience with questions, the materials you sent....and on and on...was incredible. And Mandi, you were a delight to work with. I also told my wife I wouldn't hesitate to work with you guys again. I stumbled on you through the internet, and am glad I did. So thank you for everything.

We loved The Beach House in Turks & Caicos! It was as close as one could get to renting a private house. We loved the boutique feel and our room had the most incredible view! It was very spacious as well. Over 1000 sq feet was plenty of room. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. The Beach in front of the BeachHouse was perfect and we loved not having to get up early to find a spot.
The fish fry was so much fun on Thursday night. Actually, all of the recommendations we wonderful. The food was incredible everywhere, but hands down, the food and ambience combined, I think we'd have to say Coco Bistro was our favorite.
We did a half day snorkeling excursion where the crew on the boat dove for conch shells and then made ceviche. The boat also took us to an uninhabited island where we saw iguanas and the most incredible water we've ever seen.
You couldn't have helped plan a better trip for what we were looking for: a beach, incredible lodging, lots of relaxation, and great food. Thank you for being so thorough and for planning such a fabulous trip!

Your tips for Zurich were right on. We really enjoyed a 2 hr. Lake Zurich boat ride.
The Wilhelm Tell train ride from Bellinzona to Fleuen was excellent as was the steamer boat ride across the length of Lake Lucerne to Lucerne. It was a wonderful way to see so much and relaxing, too. Tell your clients not to miss the Rosengart Museum, the boat, cog wheel/cable car to the top of Mt Rigi, and the Transportation Museum in Lucerne. Sonja was a great Viator walking tour guide there.

We want to Thank You all for making this trip so great for us!! We had the best time, everything went great for us, can't think of one thing we would have changed other than the obvious of staying a few more days or weeks:). Our driver was really good and took us to some wonderful places, he was very professional and friendly. Accommodations were wonderful. It is beautiful there and the people were so kind. We are so glad we took the kids with us they loved it and were so good. They appreciated being there!!

Kathleen and Megan helped our family plan two dream trips this spring. One we took with our kids to Florida, and they made everything incredibly easy for us -- from airport transfers to having cribs and special toys for our boys waiting in the room when we arrived. It was perfect and we were able to really enjoy our time together as a family, knowing that the logistics were all taken care of and we could call if we had any issues. The other trip we took was to Europe without kids as an anniversary trip. The hotel they helped us select was incredible, they managed to secure a wonderful room upgrade on our behalf, and every dinner reservation was at the best table in the room. Megan encouraged us and helped us plan our itinerary ahead of time so that once we arrived, we didn't have to lift a finger. We are so grateful that they took care of everything for us so that we could relax and enjoy every minute of our time away. Kathleen and Megan are full of great ideas and are both so wonderful to work with. We won't plan a trip without them!

All I can say is "Oh wow!" We had a wonderful trip! Everything was flawless. All the restaurants, guides, hotels were perfect. The connections went without a hitch. Enjoyed the train rides. St. Petersburg was amazing. Getting that crazy Visa was worth it. So much history in all the countries.
Thank-you for putting this together for us. We are trying to decide where to go next. Neither Paul nor I like to scout for hotels, restaurants, etc. so this worked out great for us.

Just returned from an awesome stay at Mii amo spa resort outside of Sedona. What a beautiful facility, first class service and very caring staff. Highly recommend if you want a unique get away. This was my first trip with the pocket traveler app. It was so helpful! All of my documents were there, the flight notices were timely and it worked with no cell service! So much easier than keeping track of all the paper that never fits in my carry on.

Everything went like “clockwork”......graciously being met at each transfer and escorted from place to place, made for worry free travel. Our main guide was incredible. He was flexible with our needs and attentive to keeping us on schedule. His knowledge and ability to engage in useful conversation were so appreciated. We felt like we reaped a wonderful insight into a culture that was new to us. He showed great concern for our safety and was open to have us linger when we wanted but covered many highlights at a rapid pace. Being met by a driver who ushered us from place to place made good use of our limited time and never posed a transportation concern for us!
The Four Season’s in Marrakech was first class. They were well prepared for our group, making all the needed accommodations for having 3 young children as travelers. The room layout was perfect, the staff wonderfully attentive. It was nice having everything laid out prior to the trip.....Dining reservations, child care, and a daily plan......but also were pleased to be able to adjust the plan as each day played out. The selection of restaurants and the Riad choice, per your recommendation, were perfect choices. We had a nice blend of experiences........with all the work done before travel!
The two outings in Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara were wonderful highlights! We felt fortunate to have the chance to see as much of the country in such a short time These day trips were a perfect way for us have these outings with three young children. We truly feel we had a great blend of activity and down time.......City and country.....Old and new.......Local and tourist!

My wife and I had never traveled internationally or taken a cruise before. We decided to give it a try in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. I had some real concerns about finding a nice cruise while not being taken advantage of in our travels. I did not know which cruise ship to consider, the best way to book airline tickets, how to look for shore excursions with a proven reputation etc. So, I decided some professional help was in order and since I work in downtown Des Moines searched for a local travel agent. I found Kathleen Stahl Travel and called their office and spoke with Kathleen. She gave me some good advice over the phone and said if I was interested in learning more to come see her. I did, and I am very glad I did. She let me ask questions, let me describe what I had in mind and gave consideration to my budget and goal for a memorable and possibly once in a lifetime trip. My wife and I then visited her together and she explained various options and let my wife ask questions as well. She was patient, informative, had been to every place she described to us, knew the options, knew how to best price and book airline tickets, cruise tickets, provided excursion advice and bookings, explained the pros and cons of excursions through the cruise line and on our own, and the pros and cons of insurance in international travel. But the best part is, everything she told us she would do, she did. Everything she described about the places we would be visiting was accurate and helpful. And lastly, when a blizzard on the west coast threatened a delay for our Des Moines departure she proactively found alternative flights to get us out early so that we would make our ship departure without worry. Kathleen and Lynn were both wonderful and helpful throughout the entire process and even followed up with us after we returned. I highly recommend this group of professionals. Kathleen and her staff were full of great ideas and when our vacation budget suddenly changed they rolled right along with us. Gave the perfect family resort idea and some nice add ons too. We had a great time and will use Kathleen Stahl travel for our next trips to come!!

Kathleen Stahl Travel helped put together a great 3-week trip to Germany! If you're wondering if you need a travel agency let Jan and I tell you that using Kathleen Stahl Travel will change your travel life. We don't plan any trips without them now. Our two weeks in Italy were fantastic.....just wake up and follow the itinerary. The car was always there, guides were amazing and restaurants incredible. Then trying to pick a resort in Mexico is like throwing darts unless you use an Agency. Again, ours was spot on, all inclusive with top shelf liquor and 3 five star dining rooms with perfects pools and beach. The amount of service for the fees is amazing......This is your travel agency!!!

I was referred to Kathleen Stahl Travel by a friend, I had never used a travel agency before and I can't tell you how happy we are that we did. My husband and I were traveling to Europe, Kathleen and her associates helped every step of the way.. booking airline tickets, train tickets and hotel reservations. The first trip we booked was cancelled suddenly last September because my son, who is now going to college in England, his VISA was late getting processed. Becky was able to help with the cancellations of our airline and train tickets and re-booking them for a later date. When my son received his VISA there was a scramble to get him on a plane and off to school...Becky was great getting him a last minute booking on a flight and they were even able to line up a car/driver to take my son from the Manchester Airport at 7:00am and drive him to campus in Leeds, England. What a relief it was as a mom, to know that my 18 year old was going to be picked up from the airport and he did not have to worry about navigating all of his bags through the train station and then a taxi to campus... they put my mind at ease and had a driver waiting for my son, helped with his bags and dropped him off at campus.
Flash forward a few months from September to November, my husband and I were now able to re-book our trip and go to Europe to see our son. We were spending a few days in Leeds with him, 3 days in Paris and a few days in London. The horrible terrorist attacks on Paris happened late Friday night and my husband and I were supposed to be on a train at 9:00am the following Monday heading to Paris for 3 nights. Kathleen emailed us to let me know she was monitoring the situation and would let me know what her thoughts were on us continuing our travel there once the dust had settled a little. I had another email from Kathleen mid-day on Saturday and she suggested that we cancel our Paris trip as everything was closed and travel would be difficult. Kathleen was on top of this the entire time, things were a little scary for us but once again, I felt we were in good hands with Kathleen and her staff. They were able to get our Paris trip cancelled without us having to pay any cancellation fees and helped get our stay in London extended.
Upon arrival in Chicago,(on a Saturday night) of course the first snow storm of the winter, our flight from Chicago to Des Moines was cancelled. When we landed I had an email from Becky telling us that our flight was cancelled, what flight we could get on the next day, what our hotel options were for that night (along with hotel rates and phone numbers) and what rental car options we had. We were very tired as it is a long flight, we did not have to stand in line with the other 100's of tired travelers trying to figure out what their options were, we already knew. We were in our hotel, having dinner before most of the other travelers left the aiport or were sleeping in the airport. I can not tell you enough how valuable their services are...I will not travel again with out their help. It was priceless!!!! The piece of mind with help from our son's trip to not having to drag my tired, frustrated husband through the lines of people at the airline ticket counter upon our arrival in Chicago. Priceless!! Kathleen Stahl Travel, they were with us every step of the way!!
